Paxos Island, the Best Choice for Your Summer Holidays

Your studies are just through and here starts the best part for you and your friends as it's high time you organised your summer holidays. The very first thing that you have to choose is your destination: Mykonos, Paros, or Chalkidiki? Though, you wonder whether this year you should make a change in your plans and go to the Ionian Sea, since you have never been there before. Firstly, you have to pick the right place and the name of Paxos Island is coming to your mind. This beautiful, small, ideal for all kind of people, island will be this year's choice.

After the meeting that I had with my friends we decided to make the plan of how to go to Paxos Island. First we will drive from Athens to Igoumentsa, which is about 6 hours. Then, we have to book our ticket with the ferry, about 9 from Igoumenitsa to Paxos and nearly 2 1/2 hours till that picturesque island. Of course, one might think that nearly 10 hours is a long time but I ensure you that when you arrive at Gaios Port in Paxos you will definitely forget everything and you will be looking forward to sorting out all your things in a hotel room or at these magnificent villas and then start exploring that earthly paradise.

So, after we will sort out all of our things we will find an agency to rent a motor bike or a bicycle to see Paxos, Loggos Lakka and all the other places. Soon enough we will probably find a tavern serving fish and some local drinks as ouzo or some tsipouro.

If you think that Paxos has only these places to visit, then you are mistaken as me and my friends will surely rent a small boat or take a line boat to visit Antipaxos. Antipaxos is a paradise. Antipaxos, with the crystallized green water, can only be compared with the Caribbean Sea. We think that we will probably rent our boat to learn how to drive it and have some more fun.

We will come back in the afternoon, stay in and get some rest by the pool of our villa before we start to get ready for our evening out. People and tourists get mixed every night, as people on Paxos are very friendly, so you will probably have a drink with them while chatting about some hidden places that exist in Paxos and are worth visiting, as most of the tourists like to see every part of the island organising small explorations.

We undoubtedly think that this year Paxos Island will be our choice and we hope that these beautiful island holidays will be unforgettable.
