Fun Activities on Cagraray Island, Albay

Senin, 10 Desember 2012

More known as the private island where Misibis Bay Resort is, Cagraray Island in Albay is gradually becoming a top vacation destination in the Philippines. And it's not just for its beach -- there is also a host of activities that you can enjoy while on the island. Here are 5 of them: Go on ATV and dune buggy treks./b>

Cagraray Island

With a huge chunk of the island to explore, the best way to do it would be on an ATV or a dune buggy. More so because part of the trek includes a rocky, challenging ride up a hill that gives you a spectacular view of the surrounding area, which includes the Albay Gulf and Mayon Volcano. Take snorkeling or diving lessons in the Albay Gulf.

The waters surrounding the island is great for first-time divers, especially since Misibis Bay Resort Philippines has a designated section marked off just for this activity. The resort also offers introductory lessons conducted by PADI-certified instructors to ensure the safety of guests. If you're an experienced diver, the area is still very much worth seeing -- the marine wealth of this part of the Philippines is rich. Ride a jet ski or banana boat.

If going down deep isn't your thing, then you can enjoy the waters in a more leisurely way by riding a jet ski or banana boat. With the jet ski, you can check out parts of the open sea, while the banana boat is great fun for groups. Try Hobie Cat sailing or wind surfing.

On top of the chance to ride a jet ski or banana boat, opportunities to go Hobie Cat sailing or wind surfing are also abundant at the resort. For the uninitiated, a Hobie Cat is actually a small sailing catamaran suitable for a small group and operated by a trained guide for this island. The use of such equipment is actually free with several Misibis Bay resort promos. Fly across the Eco-Energy Park with the 200- and 450-meter zip-lines.

The zip-line may be of the traditional sort -- you'll be harnessed in a sitting position, unlike the Superman-style ones elsewhere. But the views of the surrounding countryside and ocean that you'll get to see while zipping by are definitely not ordinary. And because it is supervised by the same group manning the one at the Embarcadero in Legazpi City, guests are assured that these zip-lines at Misibis Bay resort in Cagraray Island are perfectly safe.
